We Are Overdose Aware. Are You?

Every life matters. Every conversation matters. Every second matters.


Join the Hazel Pittman Center this August as we recognize International Overdose Awareness Day through a month of education, awareness, and community engagement. Throughout Overdose Awareness Month, we are bringing together healthcare professionals, emergency responders, treatment providers, individuals in recovery, and community partners to educate, inspire hope, and help prevent overdose deaths in our community.


Whether you are a parent, family member, educator, healthcare professional, community leader, or simply someone who wants to learn how to save a life, we invite you to be part of this important initiative.

💜 International Overdose Awareness Day Community Event

📅 Monday, August 31, 2026
🕔 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
📍 Chester County War Memorial Building

Our community event will bring together local organizations, healthcare providers, first responders, and recovery advocates for an evening of education, remembrance, and hope.

Event Highlights Include:

  • 💜 Overdose Response Demonstration 
  • 💜 Free Narcan (Naloxone) Training 
  • 💜 Community Resource Fair 
  • 💜 Prevention, Treatment & Recovery Information 
  • 💜 Remembrance Activities Honoring Lives Lost to Overdose 
  • 💜 Opportunities to Connect with Local Support Services 


This free event is open to the public, and everyone is encouraged to attend.

Together, we can reduce stigma, increase awareness, promote recovery, and empower our community with the knowledge and resources needed to save lives.

Do you have a talent that's ready to shine? Whether you sing, dance, play an instrument, perform spoken word, rap, tell jokes, perform magic, or have another unique talent, we want to see you on stage!

Join us for the Chester County Youth Talent Show on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Chester Middle School’s Auditorium for an exciting afternoon celebrating the creativity, confidence, and talent of Chester County's youth and youth in the surrounding counties.
